Absztrakt: Magyarországnak a Türk Államok Szervezetének (TÁSZ) országaival való együttműködése jelentős politikai és gazdasági potenciállal bír, amint azt a jelenlegi tendenciák is mutatják. Magyarország elsősorban közvetítő szerepet tölt be az Európai Unió és a türk államok között. A gazdasági együttműködés mértéke 2010 óta növekszik, különösen Törökországgal, Kazahsztánnal és Azerbajdzsánnal, amelyek Magyarország fő gazdasági partnerei a türk országok közül. Közép-Ázsiában ma már Kazahsztán Budapest fő partnere. A Türk Befektetési Alap megoldhatja a TÁSZ egyes tagjaival való gazdasági együttműködés egyoldalúságának problémáját és hozzájárulhat a szervezeten belüli kereskedelem fejlesztéséhez. Az EU és a TÁSZ közötti együttműködés kiterjesztése a közép-ázsiai infrastrukturális projektekre végső soron hozzájárulhat az eurázsiai régió nagyobb integrációjához és jólétéhez.

Abstract: Hungary’s cooperation with the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has considerable political and economic potential, as current trends show. Political cooperation between Hungary and the Turkic countries is focused on intermediation with Europe. Economic cooperation has been increasing since 2010, especially with Turkey, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, Hungary’s main economic partners among the Turkic countries. In Central Asia, Kazakhstan is now Budapest’s main partner. The Turkic Investment Fund can solve the problem of the one-sided nature of economic cooperation and develop trade within the organization. Expanding cooperation between the EU and the OTS on infrastructure projects in Central Asia could contribute to greater integration and prosperity in the Eurasian region.
