Absztrakt: Görögország migrációs frontország révén kiemelt prioritást tulajdonít a migráció kezelésére. A 2015/16-os migrációs válság kialakulása óta a görög migrációs politika is számos változáson ment keresztül. Jóllehet, a napjainkban tapasztalt migrációs nyomás meg sem közelíti a 2015/16-os csúcsot, de a migrációs válság és annak utóhatása a görög politikai vezetést is rákényszerítette arra, hogy migrációs politikáját megreformálja, és felkészültebb legyen egy esetleges újbóli hullámra. A migrációs trendeket figyelembe véve megállapítható, hogy jelenleg az égei-tengeri szigetek helyett sokkal inkább a szárazföldi török-görög határszakaszra koncentrálódik a nemzetközi figyelem. A görög-török kapcsolatok nem a felhőtlen időszakukat élik és a konfliktus szerves eleme a migráció is. A migrációs együttműködés egyik kulcspontja az EU-Törökország nyilatkozat. Ugyanakkor az elmúlt időszak jól bizonyítja, hogy a Nyilatkozat végrehajtása mindkét fél részéről politikai elköteleződést is igényel. A görög kormányzat a görög-török migrációs konfliktust is taktikusan emelte európai dimenzióra, biztosítva ezzel, hogy nem marad egyedül a Törökországból érkező migráció kezelésének a problémájával, ami így már az EU-török kapcsolatoknak is a szerves részévé vált.

Abstract: Being a frontline member state, Greece attaches high priority to the management of migration. Since the emergence of the migration crisis of 2015/16, the Greek migration policy has undergone numerous changes. Although the migration pressure experienced today is nowhere near the peak of 2015/16, the crisis and its aftermath forced the Greek political leadership to reform its migration policy and be better prepared for a possible future waves. Considering the migratory trends, it can be noted that nowadays instead of the Aegean islands, the international attention is concentrated much more on the Turkish-Greek border section on the mainland. Greek-Turkish relations are not going through their best period in these days and migration is also an integral element of the conflict. One of the key points of cooperation on managing the migration flows is the EU-Turkey Statement. At the same time, the past period clearly proves that the implementation of the declaration requires political commitment from both parties. The Greek government also tactically elevated the Greek-Turkish migration conflict to the European dimension, thus ensuring that it will not be left alone with the problem of managing the flows from Turkey, which has thus become an integral part of EU-Turkey relations.
